Counting Down to Fall Quilt Camp

Time is growing short and Sherry and I are working to get everything set for Fall Quilt Camp next weekend. I just thought I would share with you some of the chaos in my studio that occurs at these times. Who would believe it? Especially when we are told by many of our campers that we are so organized!

Not to worry though, all will be together and in the trucks Wednesday night for early departure on Thursday morning. I am so excited this will be a great weekend and the weather, so far, is expected to be perfect.
Pack it up girls!! It's time to SEW!

The Count Down is On !!!!

I took a jacket class from Joan Durlak of Figure Flattering Quiltwear
several weeks ago. Surprise!!!!!!!!!! I have the components completed. I will be taking this to Quilt Camp to be completed. All I need is the lining and the facings, so about 2 hours more and I should have a beautiful jacket. I'll put up pictures when it is completed.
I am trying to get my projects together to take with me. I know that I will need several to carry me through the weekend. Then there are the new ones that I want to start or that I see at camp that I want to try.
I also need to save some time to do the short project that I have planned for everyone. This will be a hoot!!!!
Sherry and I are also working on our demos for each evening of "Show and Tell". Anything special you want to see?
Show and Tell is always a special time of the evening for us. We are always amazed to see the high level of work and artistry that shows up for this event. Then it is great fun to put everything up on the quilt racks for everyone to get to look at up close and personal.
OK, time to get back to work. Remember, we still have spaces available for Fall Quilt Camp , so, get your registration in and get ready to have a blast!!!

Fall Quilt Camp-Hurry and Register !!!!

This is a dissappearing (Is that one 's' or two?) nine patch that I took to Quilt Camp in February. This has become one of the easiest quilt tops to do. Some of the guilds in Columbia have even used them for "Love Quilts". I am just crazy about this technique. I have even done them in miniature.

We really only have a few spaces left for Fall Quilt Camp but it is not to late to join us for the weekend. So, if you or you and your friends would like to join the fun then visit our web site, http://www.juststitchinretreats.com/ and click on Fall 2008 Quilt Camp. Then click on Registration and you will get all of the information that you need to register.

Hope to see many of you there!!
